Default Faction Emotes

I spend most of my time in the random arena. To me it seems that playing an efffective RA build takes more skill and patience than most HoH builds. (IWAY ).

There should be faction emotes. For every 100k total faction you earn, a new emote. Such an addition would reward people who play in the RA, not punish them as it is now.

With 500k faction under my belt it pains me to see Rank 3 folks getting a group and kicking those out with MUCH more ingame exp, when such exp can be earned within 4 days with the right group.

I would have thought that such an amount of faction would be worth much more than an IWAYers rank 3.

there should be an ingame experience emote that is like the other ones it appears white in the chat box so u cant fake it and it adds all the XP from ur chars together or sumthin. i would like that, and there is no unfair part to this unless you wanna pay 2k for a powerleveler or sumthin?

sure

not all ranked player are iwayed

about faction emote there is a probrem.

i have about 216.000 faction becouse i got capped from 8 month.

when you have unlocked everthing you dont gain more faction ....

and i will add faction mean even less then rank : what is the point to know how many faction one player have if you dont know where he gained them?

hint: faction can be capped at 0 faction, if everything was unlocked via PvE.
poorly though out idea.

Are you sure? That would be a recent change, if so...

Anyway, even setting aside the faction capping, it's a bad idea for all the same reasons that fame is a bad idea, except even a little more so.

There's a 10,000 faction cap, wether you've unlocked everything or not, to gain more faction, you need to spend some from that 10k. If you've already unlocked everything, you can't get more faction. You'll earn it, but it won't go into your pool.

Yes, good idea.
There was few other post the ask for more use with faction points. Would be nice to trade them in for PvP specific items... such as

- Headgears (no stats, just for looks), like Chimpion's Crown (a crown of leaves)
- Glowie Itmes (one time use), like a box, when open, say "YOU GOT PWN, NOOB!"
- Unlocking more dye color
- Unlocking more weapon or armor skins.... even pets
- and other.

Thats a lot of faction to earn from random arenas, must have taken you a very long time. However, your argument that RA builds take more skill and patience than HA is flawed. The level of competition is very, very low by design. Even IWAY is many times more difficult than long winning streaks in Random Arenas. Rank is meaningless anyway, it just shows how much experience you have in HA. Dont think that a faction emote would get you into a HA group

Edit: What does accumulating faction from RA require ? Time. Accumulating fame requires a lot more dedication, even if it is IWAY. Its not easy making pug groups of 8, its not easy co-ordinating with them and its bloody hard to keep the same group after a loss no matter how well you've performed to that point.

nah, we're just going to separate the players more.
the ranking system wasn't designed to become a "rule of measurement" in finding party members, but look at what happened.
Potential top PvP'ers are being shunned nowadays because they don't have the rank emotes. These people might be the future of a realm or your guild, but because they don't have certain emotes, people shun them out - simply because they played GW later than the rest.

Besides, there are lots of high ranked/emoted players who do not know anything in PvP nowadays, compared to non-ranked/low-ranked players. Faction emotes will only create a similar separation in the long run.

It's a good idea, but no, I don't want to see it in-game.

But don't make it based on faction. Make it based on total numbers of wins or something like that or maybe base it on consecutive wins or how many times you make it to TA from RA. How about everytime you make it to TA from RA you get 1 fame?
